शांताराम की बनाई इस फिल्‍म में एक आदर्शवादी जेलर की भूमिका खुद वही शांताराम ने ही निभाई है. आदीनाथ के चरित्र के जरिए ये खूंखार अपराधियों को बदलते हुए और फिर सामाजिक जीवन में लौटने की कोशिश करते दिखते हैं.
